Caveat
In the legal sense, the PWA is not a true association. We are not incorporated, we have no membership fees, and membership in one of our email lists does not impart any form of voting rights.
What we do on PWAL
We talk to each other. Our list is the best place on the net to get your questions answered and your draft Web sites reviewed by pagans who know webcrafting. We also discuss questions of pagan webcrafting, and from time to time other pagan issues, though general pagan lists are better suited for indepth discussions about Paganism.
Our emphasis is on the webcrafting advice and help we provide each other, and now to you. We do this - we have no founts of all wisdom. Opinions are no more and no less than those of the person expressing them. It's pretty light-hearted.
We are a shared resource. Please do post an introduction to the list, so that we can find out who you are and what skills you bring to the list. Whatever you think of your expertise, you will find you have experience which will help others, even if just because they can relate to that themselves. We all started with mistakes. That's how we learn.
We ask that you use the list for its intended topic, and be
considerate of other members. Here are some specific
points, so we all know where we stand. Please:
• when replying to a post list members have already read just
use enough to remind everyone what you are replying to, it is not nessicary to quote back the entire post.
• and above all stay on-topic - use our list to talk about
webcrafting, which is what we are for.
Flames and spam will get you unsubscribed. Continued posting off-topic can also lead to your removal, if you do not stop when you have been asked to take that discussion off the list.
None of us subscribed to PWAL to engage in arguments about how it is managed. Such threads are not encouraged on the list, and if the list manager asks that such a discussion continue off-list, it will be or you will be.
* If you want your site critiqued, do read a few site critiques on the list first. That way you will know what to expect.
